These are the terms on which Coskeys Driving School provides driving lessons and test bookings. They are the same terms set out on the client card each student signs, repeated here for reference. Where a student is under 18, a parent, guardian or employer signs on their behalf.
Booking and cancelling a lesson
Lessons are booked by our office. To cancel, move or re-book a lesson, tell us at least 24 hours beforehand. Inside 24 hours the full lesson fee is owed.
The lesson runs for the period booked. If you are late, that time is lost and the full booked period is charged, because the next student is expecting us.
Paying
Proof of payment — cash or EFT — must reach jerome@coskeys.co.za before the lesson begins. Test-day packages cover the booking, the payment at the testing centre and test practice; fees charged by the testing centre itself are the student's own.
The pass guarantee
If you do not pass, Coskeys will keep taking you back to the testing station until you do, provided all of the following hold. You pay the testing station's own fees for each attempt.
- You are registered with us on a signed client card, signed after each lesson.
- You passed a Coskeys assessment within one week before the test.
- The vehicle used on test day is roadworthy.
- You arrive on time with every required form.
- You re-apply for a new test date within two weeks of a failed test.
Your progress record
We keep a record of every lesson and how you did against each driving skill, and send a progress report after a lesson. For a student under 18 that report also goes to a parent or guardian. What we hold and why is set out in our privacy policy.
The staff portal
The sign-in area of this site is private business software for Coskeys office staff and instructors. Accounts are issued by us; there is no public sign-up, and access may be withdrawn at any time.
